I study martial arts, practice yoga, and belly dance. I also sew, paint, and write. Currently I'm finishing up a second book that I'm going to try to market with my first chidlren's book of poetry for pagan children. Hoping to get it published by 2009 (that's my new goal line as I had to move it due to not being done lol). I also meditate daily, as well as do rituals.
Of course, my favorite mundane relaxation has to be a long hot bubble bath, a bit of chocolate and a glass of wine. Nothing like soaking and indulging.

Reading, writing, walking, yoga, playing the angriest music I can (somehow it works….especially Slipknot and Hatebreed), walking my dog, and sleeping. Nothing feels better than just going to sleep and waking up knowing it's a different day and yesterday's shit doesn't matter anymore. My a friend and I came up with a method to de-stress using piercing needles. There's certain places on my back that immediately make me relax. I guess it's like acupuncture kind of… Sorry if that's a little weird.

Accupunture is great, just make sure that you know what medians you are working with. There are ones that can cause a great deal of upset in your Chi.

Cant believe no one has said beer!!! LOL
I drink after work pretty much every day. A beer or two, depending if my buddy is here with me. Sometimes I dont drink at all when I get home, but I would say around 70% of the time I drink a few beers after work.
I listen to music, but not always to relax. I listen to metal so I get a real rush when I listen to that, but the after affects I guess relax me, once my body comes down from the “high”
This is a good topic now that I think of it because I really do not know what I do to relax. Dont really have anything I do to relax. I play video games, but thats to pass time and because Im into the game. Im lazy and boring. heh.

“beer is good”
Seriously, I'm so jealous of beer drinkers right now. I'm nursing so I can't drink lol. I have to live vicariously through my hubby!

To be honest, my answer is you guys. I have used the modification culture for over a year as a distraction from the day-to-day somethingthing new and interesting, but since I have joined, I am kinda addiced to this fourm. It's more than just the thought of modifications, it the way my preception changes. Last night I was reading through the thread “Spititual Experinces” and the corilation of your experinces to parts of my own life forced me to get up and go for a walk, I can't explane it (at 1 in the morning). I ended up walking untill about 4 o'clock I was in a daze almost trance like. I was thinking about where I had been in life, where I was going, what I wanted to happen and how I needed to focus my energies towards making it so. This place is everything but my everyday life. Thank You.

That's wonderful. It's so interesting how one thing or a few things that we've seen or read in a day can be just the thoughts we needed to spur us in our own spiritual journey.
