Yesterday, a peculiar thing happened to me while I was in the shower…
I was reading the front of my foot scrub and there on the front were 3 bars with body, mind, and soul written inside of each bar. I immediately thought of here, and wondered how many other products may be out there with the same. Is the symbol copyrighted? This one did not have the circle around it though. I just found the coincidence as a great reminder to relax and remember to integrate those three things throughout my day.

Unusual things happen to me in the shower from time to time, too. D'oh! That said, and the silliness out of the way, I am OFTEN shocked at how often our motto/symbol appears in my day-to-day life. Heck, I had my bars cut into my flesh YEARS ago, before I became a member here, and now, every day I see them, I see the dichotomy inherent in the scarification…my past life vs my life now, within the Church.

On that note, seeing three bars anywhere now reminds me of the church, and more importantly of what I'm doing here. It's almost serendipitous, because it seems to happen when the rat race is starting to catch a grip on me. Soon, I don't know when, but soon, I'll have my bars cut and possibly ink rubbed. Then it'll be constant, and maybe for others as well.
I think I'd rather have that sort of brand recognition, because it's a good way to make you stop and think. Advertisers do it all the time, why not us? Our's is far more beneficial than a pepsi logo…

Although I am still new to this church, I agree that the meaning of the three bars is deep. I have seen it represented many times before for different products, although to me the meaning of the bars and phrase sparked more then a need to buy some body wash, it has always made me think deep about my life and how I need to make sure I connect all those things every day.

I don't think they are copyrighted per se but they are definately spoken about throughout the many faiths of the world. I definately agree that there is significance in the number three, being that it represents the trinity, the trifold Goddess, and so forth.
I did find the following for you:
Manly Hall said “Three is the equilibrium of the unities.” We see this in innumerable forms:
Spirit, Mind, Body
Father, Son, Holy Ghost
Mother, Father, Child
Past, Present, Future
Power, Intellect, Love
Creator, Destroyer, Sustainer
Creation, Preservation, Destruction
Thought, Feeling, Emotion
