If at first you don't succeed…
We've been working on a new community site and it's ready for you. There are a few things you should know and I'm a fan of bulleted lists, so here you go:
- The community site is a closed group. You must be a CoBM member to receive access to the site.
- Everything seems to be working as it should. However, do not expect 100% uptime. Nothing is perfect and there will be errors, especially when implementing new features for the end user.
- Current features include personal profile, friends list, user created groups, private messaging, and personal blogs. The blogging tool is very powerful as you are basically the admin of your own personal site (ie. http://community.uscobm.com/yourblog)
- Future features include personal photo galleries, video galleries, and integrated group forums.
- Make sure you have read and agree to the Privacy Policy as well as the Terms of Service.
Are you ready to try it out? Since the Community site is not open to everyone, signing up is not an automated process. It's still easy, though! Simply send a message to
admin@uscobm.com with the subject line: Community Site. In the body of the message we need your name, email address and your desired screen name.
See you there!
EDIT: I forgot to mention, and this is important for some of you, that the site does not work well in Internet Explorer. If this affects you, think about switching from an inferior browser to Firefox or Opera. For those that won't or can't switch, IE support is on its way.
