I want to try something, but I need real small hooks (think fish hook) made. I have an autoclave so sterilization isn't needed. If anyone has a hook up (no pun entirely intended) holler at me. I'd use fish hooks, but filing barbs off is wicked tedious.

Hmm, I'm no smith and I don't know any of this kind. But I enjoy tedious work so I'll get barbs off, what dimensions are you looking for? And how strong do they need to be, any choice of metal if they were hand made? If you did go with fish hooks you may need to have them heat tempered. Metal working calls to me, I'll get back to you when I know a bit more about what I can do.

BLACK SHEEP makes awesome hooks. The last time I talked to them, they definitely had 10g in stock, and they might have had 12g. That's pretty small. I'm not sure HOW small you're talking, though. Sounds like you're talking 18g-16g. Ryan, same thing, hit up Black Sheep. I'm sure 00g are going to be on the more expensive side, but I'd be interested in knowing if they can do them at all.

What exactly does “something” entail? I wouldn't recommend using hooks any smaller than 8g if you're planning to suspend a person from them.
Red5: Mustad manufactures Sea Demon flatwall hooks at about 4gX6g. These are most commonly used for suspensions requiring 1 or 2 hooks. Gilson hooks are definitely much stronger though. What type of suspension and placement are you looking at?

Shark hooks are used a lot overseas due to cost-effectiveness. Mustads are a better buy if you're here in North America.
I expect that “Gilson” hooks will become much more accessible and widespread here in the very near future.
