David/Midian2000 and myself did a ritual pull a few weeks ago. The hooks are in our chests, and our cord/ropes are short enough so we could talk (and hold hands, as the picture depicts). It was one of the most incredible things I've ever had the pleasure of participating in.

This picture made me smile, its very very beautiful.
Congrats on a sucessful pull, I'm pretty excited to find a pull/suspension group in the northwest, so I can engage in this kind of manipulation.

That was my third pull, and I loved it. Interestingly, each time was VERY different. This was probably the most spiritual of the three I've done. For one of the other pulls I did, I had music and THAT was awesome, too. I heard Allen Falkner talk at the APP Convention last April and he talked about how much he adores his iPod when he suspends. Just more food for thought!

I was sitting here thinking about what would qualify as a “beautiful place.” The first place that came to mind was ankle deep in the ocean. Okay, that would be awesome. But really, I have no problem with urban shamanism. When we did it, the world disappeared anyways…

Tiffany knows my affinity with the ocean, especially at night, with the moon and stars reflected in the water, so that location makes perfect sense to me. However, I am in TOTAL agreement with her regarding urban shamanism/paganism. I was totally at home there in the lot behind the shop. That night, dark clouds slowly scudded across the sky, alternately revealing and hiding the stars and moon from us. The sounds of the city LATE at night are so different from those during the day, and that aural background was both soothing and mysterious…the white noise of city life. Knowing that people who love us and support us were lounging less than 100 yards away was comforting and special. Holding hands with Tiffany, toe to toe, our weight and spirit supporting the weight and spirit of our partner…and, in turn, the world…was magical. All of my other pulls in my life had been at a distance, and the intimacy of a short-distance ritual pull cannot be denied. All in all, it was as moving and magical a moment as watching my daughter be born.

That looks liek it was a great experience! It's always nice to be able to share your energy so intimately with another person.

OK, old topic but this deserves a comment. That is amazing, and the story is even better. It reminds me of the spinning game where you hold you partners hand and … spin. In my opinion the location should matter less than the associative energies, and an intimate pull like this and you experiences confirms it. OK, I'm a hopeless romantic but I want to sand like this when I get married.

It was absolutely incredible. I reflect upon the event daily. That was the day we blood bonded. I swear…everything was different after that moment. We…overlapped. Coexisted. That bond is just as intense now as nearing three months ago when we did it.
