Richard E. Ivey, III was born in the small town of Laurinburg, North Carolina, and has lived in central NC all his life.
Richard was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness but was excommunicated from the religion shortly before his 18th birthday for exposing the Witnesses’ dark secrets about hiding child molesters within their ranks. Due to this, the overwhelming majority of Richard’s childhood friends as well as his mother and maternal grandmother refuse to talk to him.
Richard lives a quiet life with his girlfriend Janet and his two dogs, Dharma and Kali. Richard also shares his home with many reptiles.
Richard’s interest in body modification stems from his early childhood, but his passion for body ritual is relatively newfound. After suspending for the first time, Richard felt something he had never felt before. As a minster in the CoBM, Richard hopes to help other people understand what he and others feel they gain through body modification and ritual.
