I have a strong history and experience in writing rituals for various occasions. I am going to be writing up some rituals for piercings, tattoos, suspensions, and more. I'm wondering if anyone has anything they'd like written, catered to them specifically, or to a specific kind of ritual.

If you do, just include what you'd like to include and the likes. I'll put it together in .pdf format and make it available to you via email or some other venue.

I'm going to make all my "generic" types available to everyone. Also, if you don't want something you've asked me to do available to the public, just let me know and I won't include therein.

Criteria for ritual:

Number of people involved:
Supplies you want included:
Gods/Goddesses/Higher Powers/Etc. You'd like used:

and anything else you might think of.

James, I think many people would be interested in reading a more generic ritual that you've written and maybe ask you some questions at that point; I know I would.

Also, If anyone is curious, CoBM ministers are also available for assistance with, or the personalization of, rituals.

I'm fine tuning a generic one currently and will post it when it is available.

Here is the generic ritual, as promised. It's only available for the next thirty days, so if you want it, you should save it (or PM me and ask for it should it become unavailable to you).

James, if you'd like to perpetually host that file here on the forum, follow these steps:

  1. Create some text in a post, ie Generic Ritual Outline
  2. Highlight that text
  3. Select the "Insert/edit link" icon (it's the chainlink one in the toolbar)
  4. Click on the "Browse" icon next to the URL field.

From there you'll be able to upload a file and the text will be hyperlinked to it for people to access.

As a matter of record, any forum member can follow those steps in order to share relevant documents with other members of the forum. Cool

It seems as though this is geared toward the people who have little or no ritual experience. I think it is spiritually irresponsible to give people information on how to open a gateway without warning them of the potential dangers of their actions. In no part of this proposed ritual did I see anything about protecting onself and those around them.

To call it spiritually irresponsible is a bit harsh to my mind. Is asking a higher power to bless a piercing a gateway? Maybe, but it's hardly demonology.

Issues of gateways, portals etc are a matter of belief imho, and i feel it is important that the CoBM not be dogmatic, given the wide variety of practices within its ranks.

I agree some kind of circle casting may be a nice addition though.

We have a lot of people on here with very little ritual modification experience. We've held "Ritual 101" classes where all we did was light a candle and do a general blessing. This PDF was a far more elaborate. Putting candles in front of a mirror and calling upon Death may be not be demonology, which it would still be okay if it was, but it speaks of a ritual that the newbies are not prepared to weild.

To quote the pdf, "Begin by placing the candles in either a circle around your area or a semi-circle if your mirror is on a wall."
