Hey guys, I'm a professional piercer here in Miami that facilitates ritualized piercing ceremonies for the spiritual community here in South Florida…my question is does anyone know where I could find a tattoo artist in the Orlando area that is open to participating in a ritualized tattoo?

Maybe this isn't the right forum to post this in, if so let me know! I've been roaming the forums for a bit now commenting here and there but still haven't gotten a hang of the boards so any information helps!

I don't have the answer as regards a tattoo artist in your area i'm afraid, but i'd love to hear more about the work you do.

A ritual spiritual community in a geographic location sounds wonderful. Many of us are quite far flung, so getting a group together sounds exciting.

Yeah it's a really great way to get the community together… I basically write and facilitate ceremonial piercings within a shamanistic setting… regardless of spiritual path, the format is the same but each ritual has different elements catered to the person getting pierced…

It's hard for me to describe right out because there is a lot that goes into the process but feel free to ask me any questions

Some things to keep in mind, chakra points, intention for modification; is it a dedication, a celebration, an initiation? Any Divinity aspects, overall theme/pantheon, this includes the Judeo-Christian beliefs as well (I don't judge the work is Universal).

What's awesome is that when modification is done in true ritual setting they heal exceptionally quick…I also incorporate Reiki into the piercings themselves for the energetic and healing qualities it provides… It can be as simple as coming into the shop and setting up space simplistically or doing a full blown outdoor circle, drawing down Divine energy and acting out myths in a new way (the myths provide the guideline, we re-enact them in modern form)

Let me know if you have any questions…I love what I do and would be overjoyed to see more people stepping up as facilitators and participants within ceremonial setting.

So would this be for an individual or a group or either?

How often do you do this, and how do you find people who require something like this?

Th only thing i have found which sounds similar is with my suspension group, or may be as my piercer and i got to know each other and could tailor piercings in a more ritual way. Even then finding people of a similar mindset isn't always easy!

This is a person I might check into if I was you.

I don't know if he would be into it, but it is at least a great place to start. He is kind and smart and interesting, however, I don't know how much he knows about the healing arts. He did work on me, but I do not know him on much of a personal level. We know a few people in common and I traveled to have work done specifically by him. I can tell you he is cut from a cloth of integrity and that is very valuable!! He is in Tampa. I hope you find what your are looking for!!
