Now I have a friend who has been dying to tattoo me up{a good artist
too} but I keep needing to draw out what I want in a way that even if it
gets tweaked a bit it will be alright{as I am a perfectionist} So I
have used this past weekend to finish my draft of one of the 4 main
pieces I have always wanted. And I have a good portion of another one
completed. It made me remember why I hate drawing so much, but I am happy
with what I have made.

My final draft of the chest piece I am passing off to my friend;

Based
off of the Ace of cups but with a bit of a twist, instead of water from
it pours blood. As I have always put my heart into everything I have
ever done. The cup in this instance is being knocked forward by the
dove, to me meaning that you must push if you want peace. And the lotus
as a symbol of beauty around me that I should always remember.

I figured you guys might enjoy seeing the before of the it and the
finalized when its done. Hopefully I will be lucky and he will be free
this up coming weekend to do it up proper. I will update you guys as I
finish more pieces, and feel free to add any of your own art and stories
:).

That looks cool.Cool

I wish i had talented tattooist friends dying to give me free work!

May i suggest the knotwork will need altering as it looks a bit too tight, so might look messy in time. Your friend will advise you though.

I'd also recommend if you don't enjoy drawing, get the tattooist to do some of the prep work. They are artists after all, and will usually do a much better job much quicker than us mere mortals! I have also found that giving a little freedom can make for a much more creative tattoo, a happier artist, and a even better result. They'll run any changes or idea by you first, so you always have a veto!

Yeah I fully messed up the knot work I just said
screw it and was going to just have Shawn fix it for me, I want it as
black work but i just left it unfilled in to show it properly. And He is
going to get to mess around with it, he wants to make the doves wings
bigger and switch up some other stuff, which is fine by me. I purposely
left it simple so that he could detail it as he felt.

This is the sword I was working on, which is actually what I spent the most time on. This is more what I could not properly explain, and the one I am less flexible on changing. I still need to do the blade and the little extras that go with it, And for reference the green was just there to show shading without loosing the line work. its going to be black and white with a blue tint to it.

I was stuck watching kids tonight, and will be tomorrow as well but hopefully Thursday and Friday I will be able to hash out the rest of it so I can get them both this weekend. I totally admit this may be greedy of me but if I can get them both I sure as hell am going to!

And I am wayyy thankful for this anyway, I know that between the two of them I am probably looking at like a grand of work that I am getting. I love Shawn!

Mini update

I finished the base sword. Eventually I want some
background with it but this is finished enough for a starting place. I really love how it came out, was definatly worth hours of drawing :~}

And yeah I know the laurel looks like hell and it might have to move up or down a little bit and the blade may end up a bit shorter; but at this point Shawn can fix that as he sees the need. I am just happy with the hilt and guard being right.

Needing to know if anyone knows of a company or artist that does custom piercing jewelry?

Things like one piece jewelry to combine tragus and helix piercings or combine a conch and tragus

Silence so loud it hurts my soul...

Welcome Cali Inked!

This seems an odd place to put this post as it doesn't relate to the thread, but nevermind as i can't move it ATM due to a forum glitch anyway!

To answer you question, industrial strength does some neat custom jewellery like this

http://www.isbodyjewelry.com/e…..-equipment

It's only available wholesale though i believe, so you'd have to go through a studio. If you're not a pro this would make sense, as getting complex jewellery to sit correctly can take practice, and getting it wrong can cause issues.

Check out the Earmageddon competition entries for some neat projects!
