My new chest piercings | General Discussion | Forum
March 20, 2014
I have done all of my piercings and just did two deep chest piercings on myself. I would like to make it to the size of Fakir Musafar and want to make sure it heals properly. They are 14g now to make sure they heal and also ordered some bio flex material. I have never had piercings like this and want to know from others what they have done to better heal this area. I have never had a problem with rejection so I feel like they will do ok.
Aside from Fakir, the only successful large gauge piercing of this nature i have seen involved a subdermal implant to make a healed pocket, then scalpelling the ends and inserting custom jewellery at a later time. I believe Iestyn Flye at Divine Canvas in London did this procedure.
I have seen lots of deep chest piercings fail to heal by regular methods i'm afraid. There seems to be simply too much tissue for most people to form a healed fistula. Mind you, Fakir did it, so it is possible.
