I've been watching a documentary that came out in 2005 called Modify.

I find it really interesting, and it's a really cool look at how Body Modification is <b>anything<b> that is a change to the body.

I was wondering how many other people have seen this movie?

What did you think?

And for those of you haven't I would definitely recommend it.

I have loved it since the first time I saw it in 2006.

And forgive me if this has already been a topic, but I looked and didn't see it, and wondered what the rest of the CoBM thought of it. :)

truely an amazing documentary. I loved it with a passion too. Hvae you seen flesh and blood? itsanothr good one. Also you can watch Fakir Musafar's Dances Sacred and Profane on youtube. He does a kavadi ritual and an o-kee-pa ceremony. And he also does a pulling from a sacred tree if im not mistaken

I have seen Flesh and Blood.
Loved it.
I've seen a couple of Fakir's things on YouTube, but it sounds like I have lots more to watch. :)

Great documentary!  I love that it discussed plastic surgery as body modification.  I am always surprised when someone who has had a "cosmetic" procedure will balk at my streched ears!  We all seek to "improve" our bodies for whatever reason in whatever manner appeals to us.

I too have been given indue discrimination by people who have clearly had cosmetic surgeries to enhance one or more parts of their bodies.

It's ridiculous, and I thought "Modify" was a wonderful new take on it!

And thank you, Parasive, I would love for you to post them.

I'd love to see them. :)

parasiva007 – Thanks for posting those videos, i've been meaning to see 'dances' for ages and hadn't thought to look on youtube!

Both Modify and Flesh and Blood were well done and informative. If anyone has a few minutes, here are a few videos we've collected in the reference section:

I just sent these two books as a suggested reference to the CoBM admin via the form located at the bottom of the reference page. Figured I would share this with you all now though, very worthwhile reads:
