Any other runners out there? Cool
I have never been a huge coffee drinker….but I find running in the am is better than caffeine…gets the blood flowing, and gives me time to think…almost use it as a form of meditation.

I used to run a lot when I trained for a half-marathon. Then after the race, I fell off the wagon, for some odd reason. Life took over and now I don't run. But I want to.

I went running a few days ago and it felt wonderful and amazing! I had forgotten how good it made me feel. I definitely need to get back in the swing of it. Great exercise

Running and even walking is something that I find incredibly stress relieving. Walking just gives you alone time to think about what has been going on in your life. Plus the rush that you get when you run. I tend to just listen to my music and let everything else kind of fade out for a while.

I have had an injury to my right leg and absolutely MUST stay thin and fit to feel good on a daily basis. My relationship with exercise is sensitive because sometimes I feel like I can't afford to but I can't afford not to. I aspire to become certified in some type of yoga along with massage when my kids are in school in about 2 years from now. I like body work of all kinds!!
I much prefer trail running to treadmill running and when I go to the gym I always choose the elliptical. I also enjoy aerobics class. Lately I've been wondering about these shoes http://bedrocksandals.com/ I hear they really help your skeletal integrity strengthen and in my mind it makes sense that putting your feet into 'shoe casts' and then expecting them to NOT HURT is silly. IDK.
This trail is very close to my home http://www.silvercometga.com/ and although it is paved, still a very pleasant run and close to 100 miles long. I also go to this place on a regular basis http://www.gastateparks.org/Re…..opMountain and many people train for triathlons because you can jump right into the lake.

Those sandals look interesting, though it seems that my heels would start hurting before too long…

I quite like the idea of barefoot running. I have some of those silly shoes with 5 toes, but not for running initially. I have been thinking about trying to get running in them recently however.

I want to get some of those 5toe shoes, but here in Pittsburgh with all the snow and ice lately I have heard id be better off going barefoot, cuz either way my feet will freeze.
Im currently training for the Susan G. Komen 5k, the Run for your Lives Zombie 5k (2nd year doing that) and the Disneyland Half Marathon….may try to do the Tough Mudder if I can afford it

I've done the Susan G Komen 5K.
I totally want to do the Tough Mudder, but my husband got first call on that one so I'll have to sit it out with the kids. I hear they have a great finish line party!!
Best of luck on the races! Is the point to WIN or place or just cross the finish line? I have never aspired to anything more than complete the race.

For the "Run for Your Life" Zombie 5k – my goal is to get a better time than last years.
Disneyland Half Marathon – goal is to just have fun and run (first time doing it, and I am a Disney Nerd )
Susan G Komen – Fun and raise money to fight breast cancer
Tough Mudder – for fun

I want to do the Color Me Rad 5K, but unfortunately I'm moving out of the country before it gets to my part of the country. Maybe when I get back.
