Interest in CoBM | General Discussion | Forum

Hi, I don't know if I'm overstepping any boundaries by registering here before I apply or anything, but I'd really like to learn more about the Church of Body Modification before I decide anything. This site, while informative and interesting, doesn't tell me a lot about the practices or congregations. I've read the mission statement and statement of faith, and browsed elsewhere on the site, and have concluded that at the base of the fundamental beliefs, I'm in alignment with them.
I've read some things online that have cryptically referred to certain events like "pulls" and some various other events, but I really didn't find much in the way of explanations. I kind of feel like the odd kid out!
Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to get at is…
Are there mandatory events? Are there actual congregations? What are the minimum requirements for being a member of this church?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forums! You are definitely not overstepping any boundaries and are encouraged to ask any questions you may have, even without being a member yet. To answer your questions, there are no mandatory events. As far as congregations go, our members are far too spread out across the country (and globe) to meet. However, we do hold an official CoBM class the third Sunday of every month. As far as minimum requirements go, all members have similar beliefs in spiritual body modification but there are no fees or specific modification one must have to become a member.
If you have any other questions, don't be afraid to ask!
