I currently have only piercings and tattoos and am getting my first "real" mod done soon so Im doing as much research as possible. Im planning on getting 8 beads inserted obviously in the shaft of my penis in the shape of one of the Norse Runes which symbolizes the God Freyr who is the God of male fertility and virility. Fitting of course and very spiritual to me but Im not finding anything online related to risks of such procedures other than the normal risk of infection. If there is anyone on here that either already has had this done or can provide other information that would be helpful I would appreciate it. Im also curious to know a woman's point of view. My girlfriend was super stoked that I was getting it and now she's unsure how it would feel, look, etc…

I've never heard anything bad about Genital Beading other then the common risk of infection.
It is a procedure one should take seriously.
Definitely clean it daily and make sure it's as clean as possible.
I've heard great things about what it can do for one's sex life as well.
I'm sure it will be nothing but an amazing experience for your girlfriend.
I've also never heard of any 'Over the top' problems because the beads are inserted into the excess skin on the shaft.
Just keep it clean, and wait until the artist says it is safe to perform sexual acts, and you'll be fine.

I'd also like to point out that all body modification is 'Real Modification'
They can all be amazing and spritiual to each person that experiences and had them. :)

The only thing I meant by "real" was changing the actual shape on oneself rather than injecting pigments or pieces of metal either into or through the skin. Thank you for the reply though.

from a female aspect, it would feel great. there is ribbing on a penis for the pleasure of a lady.

also they have condoms that enhance that feature for the same purpose.

i'm sure the beads would as well.

If this is done properly it's pretty low risk is my understanding. Find a good artist and discus it with them.

As for whether it will feel good is going to depend on personal preference. If someone is turned on by the idea it's more likely to be a good thing, and vice versa.

I'm not sure how the idea of runes will work i'm afraid. The bead tend to move as they settle, and even simple designs like straight lines are usually difficult, and subject to chance. Again a good artist will advise you.

I know next to nothing about genital piercings, but this is a good thing to guy by.

1. If you have any doubts at ALL about your artist. Do not use them, find someone else.

2. Try this http://www.safepiercing.org/pi…..a-piercer/

Hello all,

I am in the same boat and am in the process of researching beading.  I am wanting to get 8 beads 1/4 or 3/16.  I am thinking about two rows of four down the top side of the shaft with the rows spaced about 3/4 to 1" apart, resembling a crocodiles back if you will. When I was in Denver last weekend I talked to a guy buy the name of Cory at Stay Local Tattoo & Piercing 3865 Wadsworth Blvd Wheat Ridge.  I had driven all over the Denver area and he was recommended by several other shops.  My wife and I went in to talk with him and he set both of us at ease.  He has quite the impressive portfolio of genital mods. If fact he did't even bock or flinch when we asked about it like so many other places had. He was also stating that he is finding people to be more happy with silicone beads vs Teflon or other materials. As previously stated its a pretty easy procedure with minimal complications and sexual activity should be able to resume with in a month provided you keep the beads taped and wrapped for a prescribed time.  On other boards that I have been researching, there seams to be a mixed consensus on the role beading takes with sexual pleasure.  Seams like some women really like it and others sat it hurts like hell. For me personally, my wife is the one who sparked my interest, so I think she will totally love it.  As said before I am interested in learning more, so others who have had this done please speak up!

Holy crap,I sure hope he doesn't get something done like that in prison! Genital piercings are the most likely to get infected! I just recently got my nose peirced and they go through all kinds of precautionary steps before doing it to avoid infection, and a nose peircing is no big deal! Tell him that if he get's a pearl in there it's not going to be of any use because his weiner's probably gonna fall off anyhow!

Hi Wardrow.¬† I pierced professionally at Piercing Experience in Atlanta, Ga. when Brian Skellie still owned it.¬† It has been sold now, put piercing.org is still a great site.¬† Anyway, I have done hundreds of genital piercings on men as large as 4g to start with.¬† I have watched pearling and been a part of the ritual about 5 times.¬† I would also suggest silicone or check into neoprene.¬† Sounds like the Cory fellow is the way to go.¬† Also, don't be afraid to ask him to let you or your wife be as involved in the process as you want.¬† He may even let her put some of the beads in if she is calm, cool, and collected during the first few insertions.¬† I wouldn't dare tell you there is ONE way to do anything, as each person must do what is best in each setting.¬† Keep in mind, nothing is FOREVER!!!¬† If you or the wife don't like it… remove it!¬† Ask Cory if he has ever taken any beads out.¬† I have had sex with 2 different men with "pearling" and it is pleasurable.¬† First see if she likes the "bumps" by using a toy with similar size.¬† I suggest Phallix brand.¬† I also have experience with a bifurcated guy.¬† I realize now all this is very personal and I should have put it in a private message, so if the moderator needs to erase it, I understand.¬† I just want Wardrow and his wife to connect with a person who has experience.

Actually genital piercings have some of the lowest infection rates. And interesting some people do get the pearling done in prison, usually 1 bead for every year they spend in there.

May i suggest you purchase the beads from here:¬†http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-4-Ge….._640wt_158¬†

Where they are attached there is less chance of them migrating out of the straight line.

Well because of the shape of the design Im going for with my mod of 8 beads I got the inside row done today which was only 2 beads then Ill do 3 more in a few weeks once they adjust so the design doesnt get all fucked up with migration. It wasnt painful at all. The method used was the "piercing" method of implanting them with a taper and stretching the hole to allow for the bead. Anyone wanting this done its very painless and I cant wait to get it finished.

Only people I know of that does implant work is Jesse Star in Tulsa, Brian Decker in NYC, and Kevin Clarke in Ft. Smith. I don't know anyone in the Chicago area, though.

Hi ali b, welcome to the forum.

I'm afraid i don't know any good artists in Chicago either.Confused
It looks like you may have to travel. Russ Foxx in Toronto is recommended, but a bit of a trek!

Scott Jania in Chicago, IL has a fabulous reputation. I think he has held a board position in the APP and he has been doing body modification for at least 15 years that I know of. I don't have a contact number, but you can find it with a search.
Healthy healing to you and let us know what works out for you!!

Also, Kent Fazekas is in Indiana and he did a huge brand on my chest. He is kind, funny and has a steady hand.

Oakbear, Russ Foxx doesn't actually operate out of Toronto. He currently lives on the other side of the country in Vancouver. However, if timed correctly I know he does make fairly regular trips out that way.
