I know this may sound like a stupid question, but I'm looking to downsize my lobes from 14mm to 12mm, just for a month or two, before i continue on my way to my 1" goalsize. Due to mistakes i've detailed in a few of my other posts, my lobes are a bit on the thin side, so i definately need to downsize to thicken them up, otherwise i fear they'll snap. Can someone explain the proper process for me? I don't know if i should leave hem out for a week then put whatever size fits properly in, or leave them out for an hour, or what. Please help! :)

Leave them out for a prolonged period (a week or more), leave them alone, then see what size fits WITHOUT stretching. You'll probably find it'll loosen and you may need a size bigger than the first one, but stay as small as you can.
Giving your lobes break by taking them out for a hour or overnight will help too. after you hit a smaller size. Another beneficial practice is massaging the lobes gently a couple of times a day. A suitable oil can help condition the skin while you do this.

What you are doing is giving the tissue time to re-establish blood flow and encouraging tissue growth to repair the area.

So, leaving them out overnight, will that mean that every night is a downsize? Like, if im sitting on 0g, will i wake up fter leaving them out and find that i can only get a 2g in? :)

Many factors will determine how quickly your lobes will reduce in size. One thing to remember is the skin is normal healed healthy skin, just like the rest of your body, so it won't just grow back together automatically. Removing jewelry for one night or one week DOES NOT reduce the lobes by one size for every person. Age, nutrition, weather where you live, amount of time you have been stretched, size of the lobes, type of skin and hair care products used, type of jewelry worn, along with other things will contribute to how much and how fast your lobes will shrink. Also, if you just don't want stretched lobes anymore, plastic surgery is always an option. It is a very quick and easy procedure with a low cost.
My lobes are at one inch and have vacillated up and down in size from time to time because I wanted to wear certain pieces of jewelry. I did it by simply wearing no jewelry until my lobes tightened up enough to hold in the new jewelry. You can always slowly stretched them back out when you desire a larger size. If your lobes are fully healed (meaning not a new piercing or irritated) don't expect them to close up all the way or even more than a few sizes. Body modification IS a lifelong commitment, and we can all relate to that feeling.
Are you getting the results you are hoping for with your jewelry removal? How is it coming along?
