I only recently twigged that you don't have to be a member of the COBM to have a forum account (i know, i'm not that bright!).

I wondered who here is a member and who isn't? If not, why not, and what brought you here?

For what it's worth, I've kept a look out for this and have noticed that non-members post rarely and when they do it's usually only a single post.

I believe the classes are done in the chat area at the advertised time, but are not saved or published elsewhere. Hope that answes your question.

Not to derail the thread, but that's an interesting observation. I know Jes tends to save the class chats for her own use, Chris, maybe it's something we should look into, to log the class chats and host them somewhere?

I've said before, but i'd be very interested in getting copies of the classes as being  in the uk i'm rarely around at scheduled times..

Im a little confused now.How do you become a cobm member? I assumed answering the questions and being accepted was the way to become a member but now from what i read it might just be to have a forum acocunt?

There is the Member Application that you need to fill out, on the front page of the site.  Once filled out, it'll be reviewed and you'll recieve an email stating whether or not you were accepted.

I thought we had to be members…heh.

Well, I am a member, mainly because I think there is so much more to getting mods aside from "it looks cool". I am fascinated by the modern primitive, and in these times, reverting back to basics seems to make the most sense.

I am a new member, started a month or so ago. However, its hard at times to get online due to my school and my daughter. When are the classes held? I'd like to be more involved. Smile

Hi, Riss. Classes are held in the chatroom – http://uscobm.com/chat/ . We post information about the classes on the CoBM's Facebook page as well as on this site. You can look on the right side of the screen and, under "Church News", find the most recent classes that have ben held. We are still putting together this month's class and it has not yet been announced.
