Tongue Splitting, whose done it | Experiences | Forum

Its about a couple weeks away from the 1st anneversay of when i had my tonuge split, It was a wonderful experince for me, I remember every moment from the 2 hour car trip to the moment i stood up from the table and looked in the mirror and saw my forked tounge. Its been almost a year since i did this and no matter what happens i will always feel whole knowing my tongue is split. What are some of your experinces with extreme bodys mods.
I'm planning on getting my tongue split early next year and that's one that I'm pretty nervous about although I'm also super excited. I can't wait to have it done!
As for experiences with extreme body mods, the only thing I've gotten done so far which I suppose might qualify is my subdernal horns, which I absolutely am in love with. They are my favourite mod by far and I can't wait until I'm able to make them larger. Unfortunately I've encountered a bit of a roadblock as pertains to them as one of them started rejecting after an unfortunate collision while still healing with a wall so I had to get it removed. Currently I have only one horn and am waiting for the other one to heal sufficiently so that I can get it put back under my skin. Its all part of the journey though, is what I figure.

The only artist that I can properly recommend that does it works in Canada, although he does tour around the country so if you're anywhere near the border it might be possible for you to catch him when he's closer to your area. I can PM you the link to his site if you want.
If you want any info on the actual process or healing let me know, although I only have the implants in my head currently (though soon to have some in my arm as well, super stoked).
Hey monroe2113, welcome to the forum.
I have my tongue split, and posted some of my experience here /forum/general-discussion/scalpelled-tongue-split-sutures-or-not/?value=tongue&type=1&include=1&search=1
I agree about the memory being vivid. I think that most mods tends to stick in my mind due to significance, emotional state and also the adrenaline involved. More extreme mods tends to do so more due to my being more nervous or the experience being more extreme.
I don't have a hand implant (aside from a magnet in my thumb), but don't mind answering questions, as i think i'm fairly well read and have spoken to those who have one. I don't think it's that much different to implants elsewhere though tbh.
monroe2113, i forgot to ask, where are you based?
Good artists doing implants are relatively rare, but there are some around if you know where to look!
