over look the fact i look half retarded, but i finally got my medusa done.

i took out my snake bites, labret, and my nose ring. i just wanted a change.

i had the snake bites for 7 years and the nose for 5.

i like just having the medusa and the other ones i kept for now.

it was very painful. worse than getting my lip done twice in the same few minutes, but i took it like a trooper =P

i love the thing, it has to be by far my favorite piercing yet.

That's actually one of my favorite piercings to do depending on the anotomical structure of the individual. If certain features are prevalent I think it super sexy. And may I also you wear it well. Looks good.

I actually recently redid my medusa (I had it a few years ago). I've started stretching it now. It was pierced with a 16g and I am now at 14g. For that matter, I might as well mention that I also started stretching my snakebites (they're at 10g).

Stretching my snakebites is an interest of mine, though I'm not sure how possible it'll be in my case since they're done vertical labret style.

ive been thinking about stretching my medusa as well as my labret i couldnt stretch my snakebites though i mean i love the way they look stretched but i tend to bite them alot and when i dont have some sort of cbr in it i bite hard and draw blood so i dont think it would work for me and indi i remember when i got my medusa done witch was like 14 years ago and it was definitly more painful then my labret and snakebites also vampyremage if you stretch your vertical snakebites you have to post pics that sounds neat

I personally wouldn't recommend stretched the verticals for the sakes of your ability to use your mouth.

I figured stretching them wouldn't really be much of an option.  Once I get my center labret stretched up I'll have to decide what I'm going to do with my verticals.  I might remove them all together or repierce them, this time as standard snakebites so that I can stretch them a bit as well.  I haven't quite made up my mind on that one yet though.

ive been trying to pierce the left side of my lip to finish my snake-bites for about 4 years now, ive tried 9 times and each time either the infection gets too bad or it rejects, rejections are a normal thing for me so is there anything i can do to help it work next time? i got 1 needle saved back just for it at all times :)

indi – That look great!Smile

parasiva007 – If you're really getting infections (as opposed to inflammation/lymph discharge), you need to seriously think about your procedure. Infections should be pretty rare, and it speaks of poor hygine if you're getting infections.

I'm also a bit baffled as to how a correctly pierced lip piercing with appropriate jewellery can reject.

The obvious answer if you're having all these problems is go to an experienced pro….

I also wonder what aftercare you use?

I hope i haven't offended with that advise. I'm all for DIY if it's done in a safe educated manner, but these issues suggest otherwise imho. If nothing else a good pro can compensate for individual quirks of healing.

I totally agree with the last post. It's very hard to say what exactly is occurring with out seeing it or and or the proces. Consult a professional. Hopefully they can guide you to get that one done or maybe suggest an alternate if it's just not gonna work out for some reason, I have seen in my years people who generally heal well, have specific trouble spots for any number reason, adn some unknown. The human body is still a very mysterious thing even with our vast knowledge of it.

Maybe the earning is not being afraid to ask for help. You can gain the experience from the piercing and allow someone else to do so by piercing you. Think of e professional piercer as a guide, rather than a facilitator.

Sometimes earning it is a simple as knowing you need help.

I can understand why the Medusa is so painful.  That place is known to martial artists as a nerve center, and quite a painful place to strike an opponent.

You're one tough chick, Indi.

Sometimes I wonder if I can say anything in less than a hundred words.

jimmyenglish: thank you, thank you (: it's my favorite as well and i think it's very attractive on certain individuals as well. not trying to sound arrogant, i'm not counting myself in that. although i do feel more attractive now lol =P

i love mods and believe even if i don't like what it is specificaly it's still beautiful for what it means to others, but i could not imagine for myself to stretch any part of my face. When i heal, i go through so much shit it's unbelievable. it took almost 4 months for my snake bites to heal. i was cleaning them twice a day with antibacterials. i was mouth washing every hour. brushing my teeth every time i ate. my body just hates me lol and i hate that! i fight with my lobes on a constant. the most quick healing piercings i've had are the Medusa and was the bridge. i think in a way it sort of disgusts me to see like the nose being stretched and the lips because my mind relates it to not only mass amounts of pain, but how bad the healing process for myself would be. it's kind of like the fact that i can't stand to have my feet touched because they got cut open with those old fashioned razor blades when i was like 3. i'm not afraid of the feeling of people touching my feet, but the memory of the pain and healing gives me flashbacks and i freak. iggy is the only person that can do it and it took him forever to gain my trust.

thank you oakbear!

and wow, didn't know that lol. that is a pretty nice piece of information. why, thank you, sas =P
