On November 4th I decided I was going to go and finally get my inner conch pierced. Originally I was going to get both inner conches done but I could sadly only afford 1.
I went out to Charlotte, NC to this little shop called Sadu, met some of the nicest people I've ever met in the piercing business. Everything was just so happy and relaxed.
The piercing was painless. 6Ga (4mm) needle passing through my inner conch tissue was the most intense, spiritual, damn-near-indescribable moments of my life! I felt so relaxed. I felt connected with my inner-self, Corrina (the piercer), and the modification community. Apparently I was shaking for 3 or 4 minutes, but it only seemed like seconds. The feeling of absolute relaxation stayed with me for about a day after that. I feel like this piercing almost helped me have some better understanding for why we all do the things we do. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about this. I'm hoping I get the same experience when I go to get my other inner conch done.

Thanks for sharing!

Good call getting one at a time pierced though, makes sleeping easier!

Wish I could get my conches dermal punched, but it’s illegal in Massachusetts. Slow but steady stretching here I come xD…in like a  year or so.

Good luck with the cartilage stretch, it’s a hell of a journey! It can definitively be done, but it’s tough and takes a loonnggg time!

How near are you to other states? Might be worth travelling?

Inner conch piercings are a really good choice. The upper and lower piercings you can get just so happen to be accupuncture points for relieving addiction and relaxation. Congrats!

I’ve got two inner conch piercings in my left ear.  One horizontal through the back of my conch and the other vertical through the lower side of my conch.  I think they’re cool, but I can’t say I had any religious experience because of them.

I am officially jealous, but very glad that you had such a cool experience.

On two occasions I had lobe piercings done in both ears at the same time.  It is, in fact, a pain to sleep when both ears are freshly pierced.  My solution involved an arrangement of pillows that allowed my head to be supported without making contact with my ears, but maintaining that arrangement throughout the night lead to some rough nights.  It is definitely easier to do it one at a time.

Rolling up a towel and putting it into the shape of an O helps.  Just put your ear in the middle and snooze!!!

I wish I had thought of that.

Maybe a hemorrhoid doughnut would help as well, although I’d opt for a brand-new one if it was me.

The towel idea is brilliant! Why did I not think of that?!

I have both my inner conches done last year. Best decision I ever made. I started with my right side done first. I’m always getting compliments so go for it.
