Got my first tattoo <3 Just wanted to share with you all.

We went to Ink Side Out tattoo in Darien

CT :) http://www.inksideouttattoo.com/ Pony did mine and my "almost"

brother-in-law's tattoo. I'll show pics of his, too, at the end of this post.

So I went with my fiance's younger brother, as previously mentioned. I had him go first since, I'll be honest, I was a little nervous. I had friends who did it (all male) who said it was very painful, and watched 2 other female friends, where one of them cried. and she only had thin black lines, so with my thick one, plus some slight coloring, i was nervous. So I watched him get his done, which is a chef's knife (he is a chef) with a french proverb about cooking written on the blade. The handle of the knife was very dark, and my god did it bleeeed! it was kind of awesome to watch, I'll be honest, haha. It came out really awesome, and took an hour and a half.

Mine only took like 20 minutes or so, if that. I wasn't timing it, but it was hardly long at all. of course, it's pretty simple. I'm getting married in a few weeks, and I had spent years and years trying to think of the PERFECT first tattoo… I decided to do my fiance's name after lots of thought. I've already gotten hassled about "WHAT IF YOU DONT LAST??" and it's annoying the crap out of me… my thought is, he's a huge part of my life right now, and I do want to memorialize that. But I'm not dumb enough to not have a plan for if we dont last. But anyway…

I tried to really make it a spiritual event, since it was my first, but I found that nearly impossible to do. I was so excited i could hardly sit still. I was pleased to find it didn't hurt at ALL, though! It pinched very faintly when he went over the bone but that was it. In fact, I kept twitching because it tickled (it was making me paranoid that there would be a mistake cuz of my twitches, but he did fantastic, haha!) but by the end i was finally able to just close my eyes, relax, and almost meditate, just focusing on the sensation. It was awesome, and I'm sad it was so fast.

anyway, here are some photos, both of mine and my future brother in law's tattoos…

1) is mine being worked on… I think here I am trying REALLY hard not to twitch hahaha. This part tickled the most.

2) Woohoo!! Writing finished :) I love how crisp it looks.

3) JUST finished!!

4) This is how it looked 2 hours later…

5) and tonight, a day and a half later! –^

Now, here's Future Brother-in-Laws :D

1) ahhh the blood! it's amazing. But the shading is phenominal!

2) freshly finished :D amazing shading, don't you think??! I cant wait to do one more detailed like his.

That is all. Thank you for reading :)

Good stuff, cheers for sharing!

What's next?

I'm not sure… I knwo at some point I want leopard print on my shoulder/onto upper arm. I've always been incredibly fascinated by the beauty of wildcats, mostly the leopard and tiger, so I definitely want them represented somehow.

But I also want to add something iwth more color. I love being wild and crazy, with fun colors all around, and I definitely want my body to show that about myself regardless of whatm akeup or clothes i am wearing, you know?

I'm just torn about which to do next! money will have to determine it, since I have no friends in the tattoo biz to give me discounts :( and i'm poor. lol

The more i learned  the more i loved  i became engrossed in all body art had to offer  and decided it was something i wanted to be on the inside circle of  not just a passerby  i wasn't satisfied with the idea of just getting a tattoo anymore.
