Hello all! I'm Kristen and I'm a new member to CoBM and was wonderfully welcomed by Chris Carter. I'm excited to become a part of this and learn other's views on body modification. I have always been pro-modification. I remember being young and wanting tattoos and piercings. I feel the body is yours to adorn which can help promote ones spiritual connection within themselves and within the world around us. A higher power? I'm not so sure on that but I do believe we're all connected and one in this universe of ours.

Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and say a little about my feelings on body mod.
Have a great day everyone!Laugh

Thanks for sharing Kristen!
We're a diverse bunch here, but you views and feelings are pretty common in the CoBM, so i hope you'll feel right at home.Smile

Hello guys! I hope to meet some cool people on here. Nice to meet your Kristen haha, least you spell it the right way!. To all who have welcomed me i put this question out there….what is your favorite body modification that you have? It's hard to choose one but I would have to say my tongue web and smiley piercings…and I go back and forth between a few of my tattoos so I'd have to say my brass knuckles, yin yang, peacock feather, lips, and a flower bracelet arournd my wrist.Laugh

Hello and welcome, Kristen.

There's no shortage of cool people on this forum, so I'm sure that goal will be met quickly enough.

My favorite mods (that I already have) are my dual labrets, my moxibustion brand, and the Latin tattoo down the back of my left arm which translates to, "Trust Not Assumption".

But I'm really looking forward to the next tattoos I've got planed. I'm going to get the word FREEDOM with an exclamation point across my knuckles and red white and blue stripes behind it. Also, I'm going to get the church bars on the back of my hand.

Sometimes I wonder if I can say anything in less than a hundred words.

Hey hey!
I'm Ian, or UnholyResonance.
Unholy for short. :)

This is a great forum and is an endless wealth of knowledge for anyone who seeks it!
I've learned quite a bit on this forum alone.

My favorite modifications, that I currently have, is my snake tattoo down my left outer forearm, and my reaper tattoo just slightly higher than the snake!

I cannot wait until this August because I am getting a 1/2 sleeve done of an octopus with my first artist out of Sacramento! Very excited for that. :)

Welcome to the forum and I'm sure you'll fit right in! :)

Welcome Kristen :)
I'm Jess. Not so new, but I definitely need frequent here a little more often (school is hectic, and will only get more hectic in September when I start my new program!).

Favourite mods.. my magnet, anchor shaped subdermal implant in my right hand and my lobes <3

Hope you're enjoying it here thus far!

Welcome Kristen,

Although I just joined and it seems a little redundant for me to welcome you (lol) I thought I would say Hi and immerse myself into a thread where clearly active members are saying hello.
I too think that the body is yours to adorn and mod which can help us promote our spiritual connection within ourselves and within the world around us and look forward with chatting with you and all of the members of this most interesting congregation.

Hope to chat sometime soon :-)

The Church bars are the 3 lines in the logo. Some people have them with the circle around them, some without. They represent Mind, Body and Spirit.

I think my favorite is my septum. Which is kind of odd because it was the one that I had the most reservations about getting done, but it was definitely the most transformative for me. But a super close second is my tongue for much the same reasoning.

Hey, my name's Chris, I'm from Muncie, IN, and I'm new to the group. I've been getting tattoos since I was 18. I'm really excited to meet new people that are part of the movement to make body modification not such a taboo subject and to help show the beauty of it all. So far my experience has been via tattoos and piercings, but I really would like to get into suspension.

Hi Chris! So if it's not too rude, how old are you now?
I don't know of suspension groups near you (but check suspension.org), but i know Disgraceland is in Chicago.

Hi Ricky, welcome to the forum!Cool
Did you stretch to get your large nostril plugs or have them punched?
