Good topic Banjo.

My name is John.  I'm 36 and I live in a small mining town in Arizona.  I was born in another small mining town in AZ, but spent most of my life growing up and working in Phoenix.  Came to this small town for work, but got laid off a couple months ago.

I'm very creative, dabbling in writing, and creating art in pencil, paint, wood working and carving, and on the computer.

I'm also a martial artist.  I have developed my own style I call "The Way of the Crippling Strike", but I would also like to study Tai Chi and Kung Fu, primarily for the spiritual benefits.

I've been making and wearing my own body jewelry for over a year now, and I'm almost ready to begin selling the stuff.  I'll be making a new topic to make that announcement, hopefully within the next week.

I've been a member of the CoBM for around eight years (not sure anymore how long it's been).  I've been in and out of touch with the community during that time, but have always felt that modifications should be more than something that looks cool, and I have never had any desire to "fit in".

When I work, I work in cabinetry and general carpentry, but hopefully making jewelry will become a full-time business and I can put cabinetry and furniture making on the back burner.

Sometimes I wonder if I can say anything in less than a hundred words.

Hello I'm Alicia.

I live in Vancouver, Canada.  I am not in any way involved in body modification as a profession, though I have been passionate about it for many years.  I'm starting to get my toes wet learning how to help facilitate suspensions of others.

I consider myself to be a geek and a metal head.  My geeky hobbies include pro wrestling (I think it counts anyway) and roleplaying of both the pen and paper and LARP varieties.

I've been a part of the CoBM for about a year and a half.  I heard about it many years ago but it didn't feel right to join at the time.  The realiziation I came to that body mofidication had a profound spiritual component for me was something of a gradual one and only after making it was I able to join.

Well, I'm Lauren.  I currently work at a vet clinic as kennel assistant.  Which basically means, I have to clean the whole hospital and do whatever my boss asks me to do.  I've had some interaction with the clientele before, but i typically don't get as much as the other employees do.  Granted, it is my first job and i hope in the future to acquire a tattoo apprenticeship.

I live near Seattle, Washington which is where i've been my entire life. I don't plan on staying here though.

I've been doing my part time kennel assistant job for two years almost.

A random fact about me?  I spend way too much time on photoshop creating photomanipulations.  I'll spend probably around 10 hours on a good photomanip give or take if i work on it all in one night or spread it out throughout the week.  So yeah, that's me(:

Hi to those i haven't yet got to know!

It's a nice idea to have a welcome thread. We seem to get a fair few sign ups who for whatever reason decide not to post.

Anyway, i'm going to be lazy and post my description in a link! http://uscobm.com/ministers/ryan-emans/

Feel free to drop me a line or say hi!

Thats cheap Oakbear lol.

My name is Ignacious, all be 20 in ten days.

I live in a semi-dead place called Eden, NC. I was born and raised into a military family and did a lot of traveling for the first 6 years of my life.

I'm currently working for a Gildan warehouse as a temp. My long term goal is to start up a business enterprise that is true to humanity. Unlike the greedy bastards that control 75% of the money in the world now. I also want to create a brand new political party thats based on our birth rights. You may do as you wish, as long as you do not harm others. You are a free being, not a community slave.

Random fact? My favorite band for almost seven years has been Smile Empty Soul. And i'll be able to see them for the first time June 4th!

Good to read all these intros, and I hope to read many more.

Reading them has made me realize I left a couple things out of my intro.

I've been playing guitar for about 22 years, and I'm playing lead guitar/backing vocals in a fledgling band called J.J. HEMs.  You can find a few crappy YouTube videos here, here, here, and here.  (we forgot to make sure we were all in tune before we recorded them).  You can also check us out on Facebook here and join our group of 13 friends (which includes three members of the band, lol).

Some random things about me:

Favorite liquor: Cairnleigh 12 year old single Highland malt Scotch

Favorite ice cream: chocolate chip cookie dough

Favorite bands: Vandals, GWAR, pre-black-album Metallica

Favorite composer:  Ludvig van Beethoven

Favorite movies:  Matrix trilogy (yeah, I know they're not real), The Way of the Gun, Full Metal Jacket, Half-Baked, Reservoir Dogs

Favorite author: Stephen King

Hey (:
My name is Taylor Lynn,

I'm currently a freelance make up artist, saving up to go to an arts school soon.

I have a horrible fear of heights, and I collect reptiles.

I can do gore makeup, and adore watching horror movies.

I've been vegan for roughly four years and I'm actually from a small, country town in Tennessee.

Glad to meet all of you <3

Currently, I have two ball pythons, a reticulated python, leopard geckos, two beardies, a T. blondi (I know she doesn't count as a reptile but I throw her into the group) and a few slider turtles. (:

I'll play along.  My name is Sommersett and I am 35.  I am a stay at home Mom of 3… 2 kids I had non medicated ages 2 and 4, and one is my niece age 12.  We are all very healthy and active and I keep a very clean and tidy home.  My husband is great and he is in nursing school.  I was a piercer for just over 10 years at Factor Five in Charleston, SC and Piercing Experience in Atlanta, GA.  Something interesting about me is that I don't grow hair very well.  I never really have, but in my last pregnancy it all fell out of my head and hasn't grown back.  So, every single day, everywhere I go, I turn every head in the room.  I wear 1 inch lobes and 2g cart. in my ears.  I speak up for myself and all modified people in a kind and beautiful way…. or I try my best.  My husband has a few small tattoos which are under his clothes, so I feel pretty alone in the education of the next generation and generations before us.  I have a brand across my chest which also gets constant questions.  Anyway, I am here for fellowship from all my brothers and sisters who live a path of ancient body art.  When people ask me why I look this way, I say because this is how I think I am suppose to be.

Everyone has something to say about the Mona Lisa until you're standing in front of it speechless.
