I am an american but my wife and I will be moving to the UK in about three to four months.  She isnt as big into body modifiaction as I am.  She has three tattoos and her ears pierced in a statndard gauage.  I, on the other hand, have 34 tattoos, 2g plugs in my ears, and a 12g septum ring.  I am defintely looking at geting more work done as well as piercings.  Would love to meet others from the UK to hook up with to talk and find places to go to.  I am also interested in Ritual suspensions, but wasnt sure how popular it is out there.  Well hope to meet some of you on here. :)

Where in the uk are you coming to LoBo?

The suspension scene here is pretty small. Constant Elevation in London run a few times a year and i think Body Evolution are still going in Norwich. There's a few more hoping to get started (including a group i'm trying to help put together), but that's about it as yet…

If i've missed any or anyone knows better please feel free to let me know, the more the merrier!

Ill be around Milldenhall/Bury St Edmunds area. Im really wanting to meet like minded people around there.  I will defintely be doing alot of traveling so have no problem going places to meet others.  Im very heavily tattooed but only three piercings at the moment due to my job.  I want to try as many things in the Moded community as possible.  I have always been facinated with suspension and really want to try.  The only thing im worried about is b/c I'm a larger guy. Are you in the UK?

Bury St Edmunds is a nice part of the world. Not too far from Norwich for Body Evolution, or even to London actually.

I'm in Nottingham btw.

As for larger folks suspending it's not a problem. Most rigs are designed to hold way more than any person. The main issue is pressure on each hook (skin tearing is a bit of an issue, but more the pain). Bigger folks usually have more hooks, at least in their first few. I'm 18st and i'll be fine i'm sure, and i've seen bigger suspend…

If i get a group going i'll send you details….

Awesome.  You are only going to be a couple hours away from where I will be at.  Once we get settled in I would really like to try and get together sometime if your up for it.  As far as the suspension goes, you and I are the same size if i did the conversion right.  Im roughly 260lbs which is a little over 18st.  I really want to do it.  I think it will be such a spiritual experience for me. I have been afraid to do it because of my size, but now I think it might be okay.  Defintely let me know when you get the group up and running.  I would love to help contribute information and networking with people.  Thanks again for all the help you have provided in the various forums.

Okay…So I made it safely to the UK.  Been here about three weeks and absolutely LOVE it.  So I'm defintely on the look out for those in my area.  If anyone knows where there is a good suspension scene I'm all ears.  Would love to go and watch before actually jumping in the deep end of the pool. So hit me up here if anyone has some info.  Cheers!

Glad you like it here.

I've since found Body Evolution are no more. The only group that advertise suspension currently are Constant Elevation in London. They have an event in December. Check their Facebook for details https://www.facebook.com/pages/Constant-elevation-Suspension-Team/116474875113491

Thanks Mate! I will defintely check them out.  I really want to give this a go.  Ive been facinated with suspension since the first time I saw it. Im hoping to check out the event in December and maybe talk to some people. Do you happen to know if it costs anything for the suspensions or what type of funding they get to do this for us?

I believe they charge £90 includng a meal. £10 for spectators.

When you consider all the costs, this is pretty good value.

They seem very friendly, so drop them a line and explain who you are and how you might like to be involved.

Hi Gaz, welcome to the forum.

I think i'm closest to you on here (Nottingham).

There isn't an advertising suspension group up North atm, although i think there may be a group in Blackburn, as they did an event with Constant Elevation not too long ago.

I'm part of a small troupe in North Notts, but as yet we're not offering suspensions to others. Hopefully in the nearish future we will be though…
