This class will introduce and explore the concept of mysticism, how this relates to body modification, including mystic traditions in major world religions. We will discuss how to recognise mystic experience, ways to develop this, and answer the question ‘Are YOU a Mystic?’.

Wednesday, September 12th. 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern.

This class will be presented by CoBM Minister Ryan Emans and will be held in the CoBM chatroom. This class is open to members and non-members.

I don't know much at all about this topic and I would like to participate, but I'm afraid that is very unlikely, given my current circumstances.  Is it possible to post a transcript of the discussion?

I will do if i can. I'm hoping selecting, copy and paste will work?! Anyone got a better idea?Embarassed

It'd be nice to see you there, but i understand the time isn't going to suit everyone.

It's not that I don't have the time off…it's that my girlfriend has that time off, and as a worker of 40 hours/week she needs her time off, and I need to spend that with her.  I mustn't neglect her for this church, as much as I love being part of this church and learning about/participating in this church.

Nonetheless…as far as I know, a copy/paste strategy should work unless there's something I don't understand (and there's no shortage of things I don't understand).  I'll still try to be there.  I think I might be able to talk my lady into being interested in this class as well, so we'll see.

Either way, best wishes to all, and I hope it's a very informative and enlightening discussion.

I just realized this class is on a Wednesday evening.  That increases the chances I'll actually be able to make it this time by quite a bit.  Fingers crossed that nothing last minute comes up.

I just realized that the class isn't until next month.  lol  I'll have started my new job by then, so I don't know if I'll be working or not.  Either way, if I can be there, I will be.

Hi folks!

Just a bump to remind people this is happening on Wednesday!

I know what my schedule will be like this Wednesday and I will just be finishing my preparations for a night-shift when this class begins.  I will not be able to participate, but would still very much love to see a transcript of the class, as my knowledge of this subject is markedly limited.

Look under General Discussion   Mysticism

Maybe Oakbear can connect them for the group.

I'll be interested to read your thoughts.
